Built in 1978, 7500 York Cooperative is a pioneer in senior cooperative housing–being the first of its kind in the United States! The Cooperative lifestyle provides the benefits of senior housing ownership along with the freedom of a maintenance-free home. 7500 York Cooperative is a community of peers who choose to participate in the daily governance and care of their homes and community. Many members find value and fulfillment by choosing to be part of committees to oversee everything from the physical structure to community amenities, or the activities available for all members. Others choose to serve on our Board of Directors while others participate in activities created by the committees. All members are encouraged to vote for their board representatives and reach out to committees with suggestions.

7500 York Cooperative is an independent senior housing option and does not offer in-unit medical, housekeeping or home care services. Resident members are encouraged to secure any services that they may desire, just like one is able to within a stand alone home. If you are looking for assisted living or memory care we heartily recommend Ebenezer’s York Gardens located on the 7500 York Cooperative campus.
